DeLorean Releases First Commercial for Their New DMC-12 Car

Last week we learned that the DeLorean Motor Company was going to put the classic 1982 DMC-12 car back into production. The car was made famous thanks to Robert Zemeckis' film Back to the Future, and the new car is going to have the exact same design as the car from the 80s.

Today we have the first commercial for the DeLorean to share with you. It’s called “Lucky Coin,” and it definitely builds the excitement that the care is making a comeback!

DMC is building about 300 cars that will retail for $100,000. The exterior will be stainless steel and will resemble the same shape and design that made original so iconic. However, the engine, tires, and in-car electronics will be upgraded. DMC said:

"Another area that will see significant upgrades is the in-car entertainment and connectivity. The original DeLorean came with a four-speaker, AM/FM cassette player – standard fare for 1981, but not today. For years we have been upgrading this part of the car through our service and restoration work, and we’ll continue to push that envelope as much as we can. A modern, improved HVAC system has also already been tested and is planned for these cars, as well."

I’m looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Hopefully someone I know buys one so I can take it for a test drive!
