DEMOLITION Trailer: Jake Gyllenhaal Takes A Sledgehammer To His Past

Aside from a brief misstep in 2010 with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the last decade of Jake Gyllenhaal's career has been remarkable. He's been on a hot streak over the past few years with his work in Source CodeEnd of Watch, Prisoners, Enemy, and especially Nightcrawler, and he has Everest coming to theaters in a little over a week.

One of the actor's upcoming projects is called Demolition, and it's a more stripped down drama that sees his character trying to come to terms with the loss of his wife. It's directed by Jean-Marc Vallee (Dallas Buyers Club, Wild), and it co-stars Chris Cooper and Naomi Watts. Fox Searchlight has just unveiled the film's first trailer, which you can watch below. This looks like another strong performance from Gyllenhaal. Demolition arrives in select theaters on April 8th, 2016.
