First Clip From STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS and SPOILER Story Details from Kids' Book

We've seen a few trailers and a bunch of TV spots for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but today we bring you the first film clip. It's a brief, exciting clip that features some explosive footage of Finn, Rey, and BB-8 trying escape a squadron of First Order TIE Fighters. Things really aren't going well for them.

Under the clip, you will find a list of story points for the film that come from a "Look and Find" kids book that leaked on Imgur. The information does contain SPOILERS, so read that information at your own risk. However, this clip doesn't spoil anything!

If you've seen the previously released footage, then you know that this scene eventually leads them to the Millennium Falcon, which Rey pilots.

Here's some interesting information from the book that was found via Making Star Wars. Again... these do contain SPOILERS!

  • Max von Sydow is Lor San Tekka as we reported some time ago.
  • Lor San Tekka and Poe meet on Jakku at night.
  • They put Lor’s message inside BB-8 and send him off into the night.
  • Maz is apparently Han’s old mentor. Post-Return of the Jedi or as far back as the anthology film? He hopes she can help them with their mission to return BB-8 to the Resistance.
  • Finn wants to rescue Rey before the Resistance destroys the base.
  • A spy on Takodana tells the First Order the heroes are there. Phasma readies a surprise attack on the castle.
  • During the battle of Takodana, Leia’s X-wing Squadrons save the day.
  • Rey and BB-8 are captured on Takodana.
  • D’Qar is the planet the Resistance is stationed on. Han, Finn, and Chewie crash the Falcon into the Starkiller base.

One of the most interesting parts of this was to learn that that Maz Kanata was Han Solo's old mentor. It makes me wonder if that means we'll see Maz in the standalone Han Solo prequel film that Phil Lord and Chris Miller are developing. Then there's the fate of the Millennium Falcon, which I hope isn't completely destroyed in this crash! I'm sure Han, Finn, and Chewie survive, though, right!?!?

The movie comes out on December 18th.
