Thanks to USA Today we have our first look at Chloe Moretz and Denzel Washington in their upcoming crime thriller The Equalizer. I never watched the original TV series that the film is based on, but it sounds like it could make for an awesome movie. We'll no more about what this movie is going to be like as soon as we get a trailer. But, in the meantime here's a few moody photos for you to look over.
Washington plays a former black ops commando who faked his death for a quiet life in Boston. He comes out of his retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), and finds himself face to face with Russian gangsters.
In an interview with the site director Antoine Fuqua talks about Washington bringing the heat to the vigilante role that he plays saying,
"There's a switch that (Washington) turns on and that's just scary. There's a sustained intensity even in casual mode, like a panther. If it's turned against you, you're going to be in a bad place.
His hand-to-hand work is pretty nasty when the monster comes out. We used what was around him. You'd be surprised what he can do with a corkscrew. You'll never open a bottle of wine the same way again."
Washington and Moretz are both insanely talented actors, and with Training Day director Fuqua at the helm you can bet that it will be solid film.
