First Photos from Marvel's DAREDEVIL Series

Thanks to Marvel, we have our first look at their upcoming Daredevil series. The photo above features Daredevil in what looks like a first phase costume design. This is the same style of costume that we saw in the concept art from Joe Queseda that was released yesterday. I imagine that as the series continues we'll eventually see the character put on the iconic costume. I seriously don't think Marvel is going to pull a Smallville with this series. The photo below gives us a look at Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in his regular lawyer costume.

The series was inspired by Frank Miller and John Romita, Jr.'s Daredevil: Man Without Fear comic series, which is considered to be one of the most influential Daredevil stories ever. It follows the journey Murdock, "who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City."

I also included an original illustration by Romita, Jr. that served as the inspiration for the Daredevil costume you see above.
