FX's LEGION Gets a Slick New Trailer and an Official Premiere Date
Noah Hawley did an amazing job translating the offbeat world of the Coen Brothers to the small screen with FX's Fargo, and now the showrunner is jumping into another well-established universe for his newest TV endeavor. The network has been teasing us with some cool trailers for Legion, which I'm sure you all know by now features characters from Marvel's X-Men comics, and today there's a brand new one that comes along with an official release date. We've known for a while that the show would debut in February of 2017, but now we know when: Wednesday, February 8th.
The new trailer tips more heavily toward story than atmospherics; the previous ones have largely been more about style than anything else. Here, the '70s-inspired design and excellent cast (including Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens and Parks and Rec favorite Aubrey Plaza) take the forefront as we get a bit more information about the twisted mind of David Haller, who happens to be the son of Professor Xavier.
