GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Won’t Be the Last Time We See Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone's Characters in The MCU

There are still so many things that we don’t know about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2! One of those things is who Sylvester Stallone is playing in the movie. Apparently, James Gunn has developed his character, along with Kurt Russell’s Ego the Living Planet, to play a much larger role in the MCU.

Gunn made the big reveal while speaking to Fandango about the characters, saying:

"This is definitely not a one-off [for them]. They’re both characters that we’ve taken a lot of time to develop, and they’re a big part of the MCU now."

It sounds to me like we’ll be seeing them again. There’s no indication of what other Marvel films we will see them in, but I think one of the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War films are a good bet.

It’s been rumored that Stallone is playing a member of the Nova Corps, but that hasn’t been confirmed. It seems like the obvious choice, but I think he’s going to end up playing someone a bit more surprising.

On a side note, I was just reminded that Russell and Stallone starred in Tango and Cash together, so this whole Guardians of the Galaxy thing is a little reunion.
