Jada Pinkett Smith Will Return as Fish Mooney on GOTHAM
I knew Fish Mooney would come back! She had to — I never felt her story arc was complete. TV Line reports that Jada Pinkett Smith has signed on to reprise her role on Gotham for several upcoming episodes in Season 2.
The last time we saw Fish, she was pushed into a supposedly watery grave by the Penguin. Showrunner Bruno Heller hinted shortly after that that the villain could return. Like the comic book, Gotham is very unpredictable. Series star Ben McKenzie recently said:
"Not only can we but we might. I can't say definitively but yes. I'll put it this way: almost nobody that you've seen go away is dead. They are all able to come back."
There's no information on how things will play out with her, but you can bet your ass she is going to go after Penguin. Gotham resumes its second season on Monday, February 29th.
