Jon Favreau Will Direct Pilot Episode of BIG BANG THEORY Spinoff Series YOUNG SHELDON

CBS is officially set to move forward with their Big Bang Theory spinoff series called Young Sheldon. As you can tell by the title, the series will focus on the character Sheldon when he was a little kid.

Iron Man and Jungle Book director Jon Favreau is officially set to executive produce the series and direct the pilot episode! It seems like he's the perfect guy for the job! Lain Armitage Big Little Lies) has been cast in the role of nine-year-old Sheldon. The series set in East Texas where he will be attending high school. Jim Parson will also be involved with the project and will narrate the series as the adult version of Sheldon.

The half-hour comedy series was created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro who originally pitched the idea as being Malcolm in the Middle, but with a young Sheldon.

The series also stars Zoe Perry as Sheldon's mom Mary Cooper; Raegan Revord as a young version of Sheldon's twin sister Missy; Lance Barber as George, Sheldon and Missy's father; and Montana Jordan as George Jr., Sheldon's older brother.

Hopefully, the series turns out to be just as fun and entertaining as The Big Bang Theory.
