Joss Whedon is Reportedly Working on a New Musical

Joss Whedon had a rough time directing Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron. He previously stated that the movie, "a little bit broke me," which is probably one of the reasons why he didn't come back to direct the next one.

I've been wondering what Whedon's next project would be, and thanks to Den of Geek, we have an idea of what that might be. Last night he apparently told the University of Oxford’s Student Union what he's been working on, and that project is a musical.

This wouldn't be the first time that Whedon has dabbled in musicals. He made Dr. Horrible, which was amazing, as well as the classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode "Once More, With Feeling."

There are no details of what the story will be, but he did explain that "the format fits the emotionality of what he’s going for." There are so many different film genres for Whedon to work with, and I'm curious to see what exactly this latest venture of his will turn out to be.

According to the site, the way that Whedon was talking, this is an original idea, and it won't be a sequel to Doctor Horrible, which is something that fans have been impatiently waiting for. Hey — at least he's working on something, and I'm sure it will be great!
