Justin Lin to Direct Next BOURNE Film
Universal Pictures has hired Fast and Furious director Justin Lin to direct the next installment of the Bourne franchise. The movie will be a direct sequel to the Tony Gilroy-directed film The Bourne Legacy. The movie will continue the adventures of Aaron Cross, who was played by Jeremy Renner. Renner is expected to reprise his role.
There's no information on what the plot of the movie will be, but I'm sure it's not much different from the rest of the Bourne films, and Cross will most likely be on the run again as he's being hunted down. According to Deadline, the studio is looking to release the film in summer of 2015.
It was only a matter of time before the studio moved forward with a sequel, and I think Lin is a solid choice to take it on.
