Liam Neeson Discusses Qui-Gon Jinn STAR WARS Spinoff Film

There were certain aspects of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace that I liked, and Liam Neeson's character, Qui-Gon Jinn, was one of them. He was just an interesting a likable character. Even though he died in the film he was brought back in The Clone Wars animated series, where he appeared to Obi-Wan and Anakin. He was the Jedi who figured out how to become one with the Force, and retain his identity as a ghost.

Durring an interview with Yahoo, the actor was asked if he would be up for making a Qui-Gon Jinn Star Wars spinoff film. He says "yes," and you can tell that he very proud of the character. At the same time, he does raise the question of how they would do it since Jinn is dead.

I seriously doubt that we'll ever see a Qui-Gon Jinn spinoff movie. But, if it ever did happen it would have to be a prequel with a younger actor taking on the role of the character. It could be cool to see him as the apprentice to Count Dooku. Or it could be a movie that features his ghost on some kind of epic Jedi adventure with the ghosts of Yoda, Anakin, and Obi-Wan. At least, that's the only way I think Neeson could come back to reprise his role, unless he was resurrected somehow.

I do think there's a chance his the character could pop up in any of these future films as a Jedi ghost. Do you think that Neeson will ever reprise his role as Qui-Gon Jinn, even if it's not a spinoff film?
