PlayStation Vue Streaming Service Now Available on Apple TV

If you don't already know what PlayStation Vue is, it's Sony's play into the TV streaming market and goes head-to-head with Hulu. As a cord cutter, Vue has been on my radar because of its ability to stream live sports and have channels that Hulu doesn't have like Disney XD. What's interesting is that at higher tiers you can bundle in HBO ($15), Showtime ($11), Epix (previously only available with cable) into some real cost saving if you are already using those services.

Today, PlayStation announced that the Vue is now available as an app on fourth-generation Apple TVs. Sony was slow to bring the service to Apple TV as it's already on PS4, PS3, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Chromecast.

Press release via MacRumors:

Starting today, PlayStation Vue will be supported on Apple TV (4th generation), leveraging Apple TV's latest hardware to create an innovative experience. You will be able to take advantage of Apple TV's Siri Remote and easy navigation with touch, while enjoying PlayStation Vue's sleek look and feel. PlayStation Vue brings popular programming to Apple TV, from live sports networks like ESPN and NFL Network, to premium channels like AMC, FX, HBO, and Showtime.

I'm going to sign up for the free trial and see if the service is as good as I've heard it is from friends.
