Poster for Tom Hiddleston and Ben Wheatley's HIGH RISE

Tom Hiddleston (Loki) is set to star in director Ben Wheatley's next film, High Rise. Wheatley is the director who brought us the crazy twisted films Kill List, Sightseers, and A Field in England. The director even released a teaser poster for the movie, which will be based on the book of the same name written by J.G. Ballard in 1975, and this is what it's about,

When a class war erupts inside a luxurious apartment block, modern elevators become violent battlegrounds and cocktail parties degenerate into marauding attacks on "enemy" floors. In this visionary tale, human society slips into violent reverse as once-peaceful residents, driven by primal urges, re-create a world ruled by the laws of the jungle.

It sounds like the kind of film that Wheatley will have a blast making. I'm sure he'll give it the great adaptation it deserves, and the fact that Hiddleston will be staring in the movie is just awesome.

Wheatley will shoot the project in June after he's done directing his Doctor Who episode.
