Promo Spot for Clive Owen's THE KNICK with Actual Footage

“More has been learned about the treatment of the human body in the last five years than was learned in the previous 500. That is where we’ll start unlocking the mystery.”

Cinemax has released a new promo trailer for Steven Soderbergh's fascinating looking new series The Knick. This is the first spot that has been released that features actual footage. I've always wanted to see a series like this. I've been interested and curious about the history of medicine, and how we've come as far as we have. There was a point in my life where I was reading a ton of books on this subject matter, and I remember thinking to myself… "Damn, this stuff would make a great movie." Looks like a TV series created by Steven Soderbergh is an even better idea!  The series stars Clive Owen, and here's a short synopsis:

Set in downtown New York in 1900, the ten-episode season centers on Knickerbocker Hospital and the groundbreaking surgeons, nurses and staff, who push the bounds of medicine in a time of astonishingly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics.

The series is set to premiere on Cinemax this summer.
