Quentin Tarantino Opens Up About His Future Film Ideas

Quentin Tarantino is one of those filmmakers that I hope never stops making movies. In the past he's said that he's going to retire from making films after his tenth one. The Hateful Eight was his eighth film, which means if Tarantino is true to his word, we'll only see two more films from him, which kinda sucks. Hopefully he's not serious about that. The guy seems like he's full of ideas, and it'd be a shame to not see those ideas brought to the big screen.

The director recently spoke with IGN, and in the interview, he revealed a couple of movie concepts that he'd like to take on next. He's previously shared that he would like to make a horror film, and maybe another Kill Bill movie. These two other ideas are completely different, though. He explains:

“I think I’ve done all the ones that I’ve had a burning desire to do. A couple of things left that would be fun is I like the idea of doing a ‘30s gangster movie, so like Dillinger or Bonnie and Clyde kind of stuff. That’d be kind of cool."

A gangster movie set in the 1930s with that Tarantino flair that we all love!? Hell yeah, I'd watch that! The next idea he throws out is equally as interesting. He goes on to say:

“And I like the idea of doing a Hollywood movie one of these days. A movie that takes place in Hollywood. Maybe not now, but in a different era. That could be really cool.”

That could be cool! The Coen Bros. just made one like that called Hail, Caesar!, which looks great! I bet Tarantino would have a ton of fun exploring that concept. There are four movie ideas here that Tarantino can do, but if he only has two movies left, which two would you like to see him take on most? I'd go with the horror film and the 1930s gangster movie.
