Red-Band Trailer for Jay Baruchel and Seann William Scott's GOON 2: LAST OF THE ENFORCERS

I though the 2011 hockey comedy Goon was a surprisingly funny movie. A sequel has been in the works for awhile, and we finally have the first trailer for it to share with you. It's called Goon 2: Last of the Enforcers, and it was directed by Jay Baruchel who also co-wrote the sequel and reprises his role from the first film.

The movie once again stars Seann William Scott as The Thug, and the story revolves around his return to the Halifax Highlanders to reclaim his former glory. He will be joined by a supporting cast that includes Elisha Cuthbert, Liev Schreiber, Alison Pill, Wyatt Russell, Marc-André Grondin, and Kim Coates.

After one too many concussions, hockey enforcer Doug Glatt (Seann William Scott) is forced to give up his aspirations of going to the big show and settle into a buttoned down career as an insurance salesman at the urging of his pregnant wife Eva (Alison Pill). However, Doug can’t resist the siren call of the Highlanders, so he sets course to reclaim his former glory.

Goon: Last of the Enforcers opens in Canada on March 17, 2017. There's no U.S. release date yet, but I'm sure it will eventually get one.
