Richard Linklater's Spiritual Sequel to DAZED AND CONFUSED Will Arrive in 2016

Last we heard, director Richard Linklater's spiritual sequel to Dazed and Confused, once titled That's What I'm Talking About, was supposed to hit theaters sometime later this year. Now the project is untitled once again, and THR reports that the movie won't be making its bow in 2015 after all: Paramount has scheduled it for release on April 15th, 2016.

The film follows a group of college freshmen as they navigate the first year of college and try to make the school's baseball team. It stars Wyatt Russell, Zoey Deutch, Blake Jenner, and Tyler Hoechlin.

Linklater's previous film was the 12-year project Boyhood, which obviously garnered a lot of attention, so more eyes are going to be on him when this movie comes out. We'll see if he can live up to lofty expectations, but since he's been one of the most consistently solid filmmakers of the past twenty years, I'm guessing this movie will turn out just fine.
