Riveting New Trailer for Liam Neeson's Fantasy Film A MONSTER CALLS

A new international trailer has been released for the upcoming fantasy adventure film A Monster Calls. The trailer is narrated by Liam Neeson, who has never sounded more sinister, and it's so cool! I'm extremely excited for this movie because it is loaded with fantastical elements which I really enjoy seeing in movies. The film was directed by Juan Antonio Bayona (The Impossible, The Orphanage), and it looks visually spectacular.

The movie is based on the children’s fantasy novel, which follows a 12-year-old boy named Conor (Lewis MacDougall) "as he attempts to deal with his mother’s (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world of monsters and fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith."

Now that I think about it, this movie kind of has a Pan's Labyrinth type vibe to it. The film also stars Toby Kebbell, Sigourney Weaver, and Geraldine Chaplin (The Orphanage). Patrick Ness is the writer of the novel, and he also wrote the screenplay.

A Monster Calls will be released on October 14th, 2016. To watch the first trailer, click here.
