Marvel Studios has released this new video called "Global Phenomenon" thanking the fans for assembling to see The Avengers, which has earned over $1 billion worldwide so far. I'd like to thank director Joss Whedon for making one hell of a film! I've seen it three times already! How many times have you seen it, and do you plan on seeing it again?

You'll be happy to know that Guillermo del Toro's Hulk series is still being developed and Entertainment President for ABC Paul Lee says the series will be hitting the network next year! 

Hulk is in development, it wasn't going to be ready this season but we hope it's going to be ready for next season.

He goes on to say he'd like to see more Marvel characters come to the small screen.

We're immensely proud to be [in] company with The Avengers. We're going to continue to develop aggressively. We're very happy to make shows not just for our own network but for other networks too. Where the shows are more appropriate to our brand they'll go with us. Where they're more appropriate to brands like Fox (Punisher) or NBC, CBS, happy to do that too. We would like to see some Marvel projects move to television.

When asked about any other project they're working on Lee said, "We've got some in development, but none that I can talk about at this point."

It's also been revealed that the ABC will not be moving forward on AKA Jessica Jones. That a shame, because it sounded like it could have been a great series! But there's no doubt The Hulk is going to be extremely successful especially after he ended up being everyone's favorite character in The Avengers. It would be so cool if Mark Ruffalo reprised his role in the series, but I doubt that will happen. 

I can't wait to see how this Hulk series turns out!

Marvel President Kevin Feige recently revealed that they are currently developing two unannounced film projects. We assumed that one of those projects would be the long awaited Ant-Man adaptation that Edgar Wright has been working on for the last few years. We've noticed things kind of inching forward with little hints being thrown out online here and there, like Feige saying that the film has been "closer than it's ever been." But Wright confirmed with Empire Magazine during their recent podcast that things are actually moving forward, and that he hopes the film will actually start shooting later this year! This is the first time we've heard anyone involved with the project mention anything about shooting. here's what he said...

Yes, Things are definitely happening, and other things are happening with other things as well. There's some interesting plates spinning, and I dearly hope I'll be shooting this year.

I can't wait to see who they end up casting as Ant-Man. Who would you like to see take on the role?

Some of you would read the above title that Toy Story 2 almost never was and would be fine if it had been deleted. I don't blame you, I'm in that camp. Frankly I thought the addition of Jesse was forced and kind of squashed all possibilities of Bo Peep and Woody hooking up. Seriously though, I thought when measured up to 3, TS2 was a pile of garbage. Then again...with no 2 there is no 3 so...just watch the movie. It shows that you can randomly hack Pixar employees computers and get new movies.

Here's a great new TV spot for Prometheus showing off some creepy new footage. We get a look at the different kind of aliens in the film attacking the crew. There's going to be some awesomely gruesome stuff in this movie and I can't wait! 

I think the studio's marketing team is doing a good job keeping things on the down low, but showing fans just enough of exactly what we want to see. Do you feel we've already seen too much from this Ridley Scott directed sci-fi movie?

By now, chances are pretty good that you've seen The Avengers and were witness to how brilliantly writer/director Joss Whedon was able to turn Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow into a relevant and vibrant character after a lackluster appearance in Iron Man 2.

Entertainment Weekly sat down for a roundtable interview with Whedon and his superpowered cast and asked which character they would add to the recently-announced sequel. Chris Hemsworth joked about the cast needing more men, which set off an interesting conversation about female superhero films between Whedon and Scarlett Johansson.

Whedon: Studios will tell you: A woman cannot headline an action movie. After The Hunger Games they might stop telling you that a little bit. Whatever you think of the movie, it’s done a great service. And after The Avengers, I think it’s changing.

Johansson: A lot of the female superhero movies just suck really badly.

Whedon: The suck factor is not small.

Then Sam Jackson bursts into the conversation and things get really interesting. I don't want to just swipe their entire interview, so head on over to the full piece to read the conversation as it went down.

Getting back to the matter at hand, we got Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill in The Avengers, but let's be honest - she's a little light in the "superpowers" category. (So is Black Widow, for that matter.) A few years ago there was a rumor floating around that Eva Longoria was set to play Wasp, which would be a really great addition to the squad (especially if Edgar Wright can get his long-gestating Ant-Man movie made before an Avengers sequel).

Here's our first look to a great looking new serial killer series from Fox called The Following. The show comes from Kevin Williamson (The Vampire Diaries, Dawson's, Creek and Scream), and it stars Kevin Bacon as an FBI agent pulled out of retirement to track down and capture an escaped serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of serial killers. The show also stars Maggie Grace as one of the killer's past victims. This looks like a great and creepy series, one of the best shows Fox has going for it right now.

Series Description:

Edge-of-your-seat thriller THE FOLLOWING, created by Kevin Williamson (“Dawson’s Creek,” “Scream” franchise) and starring Golden Globe Award-winning Kevin Bacon (“X-Men,” “Frost/Nixon”) and James Purefoy (“Rome”), premieres in midseason. The spellbinding and intense drama follows an ex-FBI agent (Bacon) called out of retirement to track down a devious and diabolical serial killer (Purefoy), the mastermind behind a nationwide string of murders.

The series won't start until midseason next year, but it looks like it will be worth the wait. Watch the trailer, and let us know if this is something you'll be tuning in to watch. 

After making box office waves with his romantic drama The Vow and his hysterical comedy 21 Jump Street earlier this year, Channing Tatum has his sights set on action movies again. The G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra star is set to reprise his role as Duke in this summer's G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and now Deadline is reporting Tatum is in talks to don combat gear yet again in Roland Emmerich's blockbuster thriller, White House Down.

We wrote about this project a little while back, and it's basically been described as "Die Hard in the White House" where Tatum would play a single father Secret Service agent who has to rescue the President during a paramilitary takeover in DC. There's no other cast attached yet (if Bill Pullman reprised his role as the President from Independence Day, I'd die a happy man), but Tatum's involvement certainly put this project a bit higher on my radar.

I'm a latecomer to Tatum fandom, since I regrettably still haven't seen A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and have avoided most of his movies in the past. 2012 is certainly looking to be a banner year for the actor, though, with the aforementioned 21 Jump Street turning heads in Hollywood (including my own) and getting him some new fans in the process. Despite the fact that White House Down appears to be something of a smaller project for Emmerich, I'm hoping that the director's trademark ridiculous style will allow Tatum some room to make a mark as a memorable character. We'll keep you posted with more news as it arrives.

Magnolia Pictures has released the trailer for a new drama thriller with Orlando Bloom called The Good Doctor. Bloom plays a creepy ass doctor with some serious self-esteem issues. It's definitely a different role from anything we've seen him in before. It's still hard for me to watch him in films where he's not holding a sword. 

Here's the Synopsis:

Martin Blake (Orlando Bloom) is an ambitious but anxious young doctor, eager to impress his superiors and colleagues: Chief Resident Waylans (Rob Morrow), self-assured fellow intern Dan (Troy Garity) and no-nonsense nurse Theresa (Taraji P. Henson). But things are not going Martin's way and he can't seem to shake off his insecurities. When 18-year-old patient Diane (Riley Keough) is admitted for a kidney infection, Martin steps in, getting the much-needed boost of self-esteem he craves. But things take a dark turn as his enthusiasm begins to become an obsession.

The movie was directed by Lance Daly, and also stars Riley Keough, Rob Morrow, Taraji P. Henson, and Michael Peña. The film hits theaters on August 31st, 2012. Check out the trailer below.

Harry Potter screenwriter Steve Kloves is set to write and direct a legal thriller called Defending Jacob for Warner Bros. The movie is based on a book written by William Landay. The story is set in a wealthy Boston suburb, and it "follows a district attorney who must leave his day job to defend his son from a murder charge while uncertain of his son's innocence." This sounds like an intense story, and should make for a solid film. 

Kloves has a solid relationship with Warner Bros. who wrote seven of the Harry Potter movies, and worked on the script for the live-action adaptation of Akira. He's also writing a live-action Jungle Book adaptation for the studio. He most recently worked on The Amazing Spider-Man for Sony Pictures.

He is respected in his community, tenacious in the courtroom, and happy at home with his wife, Laurie, and son, Jacob. The Grey puts home audiences through the ultimate test of man versus nature starting today on Blu-ray and DVD. I enjoyed watching this film when it was in theaters, and equally enjoyed watching it again on Blu-ray with my wife. From the opening of the film to the closing scene, The Grey transports audiences into a chilling world of extreme temperatures, men and drama.

Joe Carnahan (Smoking Aces and The A-Team) directs this intense dramatic thriller that stars Liam Neeson, Dermot Mulroney, Frank Grillo, James Badge Dale, Joe Anderson, Dallas Roberts, and Nonso Anozie. The film follows John Ottway (Neeson), a lone protector Alaskan oil workers. Ottway is charged with making sure that the men on his crew are not attacked by wolves, and is an expert sharpshooter. After a horrific airplane crash he becomes an unlikely hero, forced to lead a group of survivors on a death-defying backwoods trek through the Alaskan wilderness. The chilling weather and non-existent supplies are compounded by the fact that they are being stalked by a pack of fierce and cunning wolves. I can not imagine living and working in such a desolate, isolated area with very little sun and tons of snow. These Alaskan oil workers remind me of the intense workers who live life on the edge in shows like Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers. These men are a rag-tag bunch of workers you would not want to run into in a dark alley, but the tables are turned when they are forced to try to survive outside of their elements against the harshness of nature.

If you are expecting a pure action thrill ride, The Grey is much more than just that. This is Carnahan's most dramatic work to date. The action sequences are intense, but the human elements are some of the most powerful and real. There are some wonderful bits of dialogue throughout the film. One of my favorite scenes is when the survivors are huddled around a campfire getting to know one another. This type of scene really hit home for me, and reminded me that we should never judge someone fully on our first impression as hard not to as that may be.

The cast of The Grey is really solid, and full of some wonderful character actors. Neeson delivers one of his most dramatically flawed characters to date. After this viewing I realized how similar his character is to wolves that chase the men in the film. As I stated above, Ottway is a loner who truly could be classified as a lone wolf. Not to say that he is not a born leader, he just needed that push to step up. Grillo is another fantastic screen presence, who dominates the scenes that he is in. I could easily see him in a leading role on the big screen, and hope that happens.

Alaska is beautifully shot by cinematographer Masanobu Takayanagi (Warrior). If you shut off the lights and fully concentrate on this film at home, you will truly immerse yourself in the Alaskan wilderness. What is more impressive to me is the lack of special effects used in this film. I think that special effects would have been out of place in this film. Sounds and a haunting score help to that the tone to the next level. Marc Steitenfeld created a score that ratcheted up the intense emotions and bleak reality of the situations on screen. I am excited to hear his upcoming score for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus.

The Grey is a must-watch on Blu-ray. The sound and visual quality is one of the best discs that I own. My favorite part of the extras was the audio commentary and the deleted scenes. I always enjoy hearing the commentary from directors and producers. The commentary was recorded with Carnahan and editors Roger Barton and Jason Hellmann, and gives a fun and relaxed look at the movie. There are six total deleted scenes on the disc, but unfortunately they do not have commentary. Universal also provides these bonus features - UltraViolet, Digital Copy, U-Control w/ Picture-in-Picture, pocket BLU App, and BD-Live. The Grey is available today on Blu-ray and DVD.

Here's the full four-minute super preview for Mark Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man that we've all been waiting for! And now you don't have to watch America's Got Talent to see it! In fact if you live on the west coast like myself, you get to see it before the show even airs!

Of course the trailer is packed full of great new footage that's sure to make you drool all over your keyboard. This is truly an incredible preview/trailer that you need to watch now! This does a great job selling the film, and the Peter Parker played by Andrew Garfield is pretty badass. I love the way that this preview opens up. 

The movies hits theaters on July 3rd, and it looks like it's going to deliver the greatness.

There's been a lot of NBC TV news today. We've brought you some trailers and clips from a bunch of shows that are coming out soon; one of them was the new J.J. Abrams and Jon Favreau series Revolution. The network has also announced that it will be developing 10 episodes for a new action-adventure pirate series called Crossbones, which comes from award-winning Luther creator Neil Cross. It sounds like it's going to be pretty awesome! To make this series look good they're going to have to pump some serious money into it to get some great production value. 

Here's the Synopsis:

It’s 1715 on the Bahamian island of New Providence, the first functioning democracy in the Americas, where the diabolical pirate Edward Teach, aka Blackbeard, reigns over a rogue nation of thieves, outlaws and miscreant sailors. Part shantytown, part marauder’s paradise, this is a place like no other on earth – and a mounting threat to international commerce. 

To gain control of this fearsome society, Tom Lowe, a highly skilled undercover assassin, is sent to the pirates’ haven to take down the brilliant and charismatic Blackbeard. But the closer Lowe gets, the more he finds that his quest is not so simple. Lowe can’t help but admire the political ideals of Blackbeard, whose thirst for knowledge knows no bounds – and no law. But Lowe is not the only danger to Blackbeard’s rule. He is a man with many villainous rivals and one great weakness – a passionately driven woman whom he cannot deny.

I hope this series turns out as well as I'm envisioning it in my head. It could be pretty spectacular if done right!

Here is a new international poster for The Expendables 2. The poster features Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis front and center. Simon West directed the sequel that arrives in theaters on August 17.

Synopsis:

The Expendables are back and this time it's personal... Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) -- with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard -- are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. I think that this film looks better than the first one, but that is likely because West is behind the camera. Are you looking forward to seeing this film in theaters?

Dinner For Shmucks director Jay Roach is currently in talks to helm a new comedy for Warner Bros. called El Presidente. The movie was written by Parks and Recreation writer Dan Goor, and the best part of the news is they want Tom Cruise and Robert Downey Jr. to star in it. This sounds like it could be a hilariously great project for all of these guys.

According to Vulture, the story "follows an overzealous Secret Service agent whose work-life boundary issues get him reassigned to the inglorious task of guarding America's worst former president, who is a bumbling sleaze. The job suddenly becomes exciting when a threat is made on the ex-president's life and they must go on the run."

They want Cruise to take on the role of the secret service agent, and Downey Jr. to play the former President. I would love it if they were able to close deals with Cruise and Downey Jr. I could see the two of them really having a fun time together on a film like this. What do you think about the possibility of these two actors working together on this?

Here's a couple great new international posters for The Amazing Spider-Man. I'll also take the time to remind you that there's a new four-minute preview for the Marc Webb directed film being released tonight during the season premiere of NBC's America's Got Talent. As soon as the preview is released online we'll get it up on the site so you don't have to watch America's Got Talent to see it. 

The movie hits theaters on July 3rd, and the movie stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. What do you think of the new poster designs, and what do you think you'll like most about this movie?

The film tells "the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero."

Jon Favreau started this whole Marvel Movie universe when he awesomely brought Iron Man to life for the big screen. He paved the way for what was to come, and it's incredibly awesome to see the success of The Avengers! It has already made over a billion dollars, and it's only been two weeks! Favreau directed the first two Iron Man movies, and he is serving as an Executive Producer on The Avengers and Iron Man 3. Shane Black has taken on the directing duties for the next installment of Iron Man, and in a recent interview Favreau discussed his thoughts on the project and how involved he will be. But, first he addressed the success of The Avengers saying,

Yeah, how do you like that? Turned out really well. Look, it was something we always planned for, and hoped for, but anything could have gone wrong and it took a lot of things to go right. First and foremost, Joss, to be able to pull together, four different characters based on four different sets of films, that shared a lot tonally and they shared some cast-wise, but he had to pull all those things together and make it work, it’s a very high degree of difficulty for him. But we had done a lot of setup in Iron Man 2 and even in Iron Man 1, we were hoping that it would come to this. I don’t think it became a reality until the last few years, but we were definitely planning for it. But it took a lot of people to pass the baton well, and each director that had been involved with the franchises did their part, but it took Joss to really seal the deal, and clearly it worked out, because the moment seems to continue going.

Whedon was definitely the right man for the job, and I don't think anyone else could have pulled it off so well. Let's just hope he will direct the sequel as well, because we all know we're going to see a sequel! Favreau then went on to discuss Iron Man 3, which starts shooting in a couple of weeks.

I was just talking to Shane Black and Downey and look, I think it’s a really smart way to go. After Avengers, you want to start with something really bold and inspired, and if you’ve ever seen Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang you’ve seen that when Downey and Shane get together, interesting and unexpected things happen, and I’m happy to see that it’s taking a bit of a tonal shift from The Avengers and it’s going to be something completely different and exciting, and I’m happy to be a part of it.

He then spoke about this "tonal shift." When he was asked about the film possibly being darker he said, 

No, just a little bit more offbeat, I’d say. Shane and Robert definitely have an original point of view and an original take on the character, and I think it delves deeper into what makes Tony Stark tick, and plays on the unexpected original unpredictable quality of the character that I think fans gravitate to.

I'm excited to see what they have planned for this character, and the personality traits that they pull out of him. The director then revealed how involved with the movie he'll be...

I’ll be very involved on that one. I’ve already been talking to them and I feel a tremendous connection to that franchise and that character and I’m very proud to see it moving forward in a way that re-enforces that story.

I'm extremely excited for the future of Marvel Films, and hope that Favreau continues to be involved with them. I'd love it if he ended up coming back onboard to direct some more Marvel movies! I wouldn't mind seeing what he would do with Dr. Strange when they finally get around to making it.

NBC has released a bunch of trailers and clips for a new collection of TV series that they have been developing. We've got stuff from 1600 Penn, Infamous, Save Me, Next Caller, Do No Harm, The New Normal, Guys With Kids, and Go On. It will be interesting to what shows make it and what shows end up on the chopping block. Check out the trailers and clips and let us know which ones look good to you!

1600 Penn:

“1600 Penn” — The Gilchrists are just the average American family dealing with all the everyday issues – like a grown kid who’s forced to move back home, children who are smarter than their teachers and a stepmom (Jenna Elfman, “Dharma and Greg”) desperately trying to win over the kids. They’re loving, fun and a little crazy. In other words, just like everybody else. With one exception: they live in a very special house. The White House! Whether it’s entertaining foreign dignitaries, sneaking away for a night out, dealing with middle school crushes or putting out fires – figuratively and sometimes literally – there’s never a dull moment in the Gilchrist White House. For example, the First Son (Josh Gad, star of Broadway sensation “The Book of Mormon”) is one of the administration’s biggest liabilities, but also the glue that holds this family together. The President (Bill Pullman, “Independence Day,” “While You Were Sleeping”) knows too well that the only thing harder than being Head of State is being head of the family. Also starring are Martha MacIsaac (“Superbad”), Andre Holland (“Friends with Benefits”), Amara Miller (“The Descendants”) and Benjamin Stockham (“Sons of Tucson”). “Modern Family” meets “The West Wing” in this election-year comedy from Emmy-winning executive producer/director Jason Winer (“Modern Family”). The executive producers are Winer, Gad and Jon Lovett (former White House speechwriter). Winer also directed the pilot. “1600 Penn” is produced by 20th Century Fox.

Infamous:

“Infamous” — When wealthy socialite and notorious party girl Vivian Bowers is found dead of an overdose, no one is really surprised. The heiress to the Bowers pharmaceutical empire has been tabloid fodder for years: wild, pretty, privileged… and now dead at the age of 32. But for FBI agent Will Moreno (Laz Alonso, “Avatar”), things don’t add up with this suspicious dynasty. Convinced that the troubled girl’s death was a homicide, he has a clever plan to get to the truth. Her name is Detective Joanna Locasto (Meagan Good, “Think Like a Man”). Twenty years ago, she was Vivian’s best friend, having grown up in the Bowers’ home. And when she appears at Vivian’s funeral, the family re-embraces her and no one is the wiser. Joanna quickly begins to uncover dark secrets and clues about why Vivian’s life was very much in danger. The New Normal:

“The New Normal” — These days, families come in all forms – single dads, double moms, sperm donors, egg donors, one-night-stand donors… It’s 2012 and anything goes. Bryan (Andrew Rannells, “Girls,” “The Book of Mormon”) and David (Justin Bartha, “The Hangover”) are a Beverly Hills couple and they have it all. Well, almost. With successful careers and a committed and loving partnership, the one thing missing is a baby. And just when they think the stars will never align, enter Goldie (Georgia King, “One Day”), an extraordinary young woman with a checkered past. A Midwestern waitress and single mother looking to escape her dead-end life and small-minded grandmother (Ellen Barkin, “Ocean’s Thirteen”), Goldie decides to change everything and move to L.A. with her precocious 8-year-old daughter. Desperate and broke – but also fertile – Goldie quickly becomes the guys’ surrogate and quite possibly the girl of their dreams. Surrogate mother, surrogate family. “The New Normal” is produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Ryan Murphy Productions. Murphy serves as creator/executive producer and director along with executive producer/creator/writer Ali Adler (“Glee,” “Chuck”) and executive producer Dante Di Loreto (“Glee,” “American Horror Story”).

Save Me:

“Save Me” — Welcome to the Midwestern suburbs, where exciting things never happen. Well, almost never. After a near-death experience (choking on a hero sandwich), Beth (Emmy nominee Anne Heche, “Hung”) is revived only to realize she now has a direct line to God. Of course, her husband Tom (Michael Landes, “Final Destination 2″) is skeptical and dismissive – and his mistress (Alexandra Breckenridge, “American Horror Story”) is stunned to learn that her lover’s wife is now a prophet! But when inexplicable things begin to happen, everyone’s beliefs are tested. Beth starts to say and do things that shock her family and entrance her friends, but she isn’t going to be your typical “fire and brimstone” prophet. Let’s just say, if God had a desperate housewife as His mouthpiece, Beth would be it! She is the absolute last person on Earth who would be chosen. Then again, they say He works in mysterious ways. And this one is a real mystery! Heather Burns (“Bored to Death”) and Madison Davenport (“Shameless”) also star. “Save Me” is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Original Film. Novelist John Scott Shepherd (“Henry’s List of Wrongs,” “The Days”) is executive producer/creator along with executive producer/director Scott Winant (“Breaking Bad,” “True Blood,” “Californication”) and executive producers Neal H. Moritz (“The Big C,” “Prison Break,” “Fast Five”), Vivian Cannon (“The Big C”) and Alexa Junge (“Friends,” “Sex and the City”).

Next Caller:

“Next Caller” — What happens when a foulmouthed satellite radio DJ – played by the multi-platinum selling artist and outrageously charming Dane Cook (“My Best Friend’s Girl”) – is forced to share the mic with a chipper NPR feminist? It’s anyone’s call in this sharp new comedy from producer Stephen Falk (“Weeds”) and Emmy-winning director Marc Buckland (“Grimm,” “My Name Is Earl”). It’s her first day in New York City, and 26-year-old Stella Hoobler (Collette Wolfe, “Young Adult”) is ready to take on the world. After a stint on public radio, she’s been hired to co-host the no-holds-barred show “Booty Calls with Cam Dunne.” Smart, spunky and passionate, Stella is determined to elevate the show beyond its boy’s-club-locker-room humor into a respected debate about men, women and the state of human relationships. But there’s a problem: Cam! She’s going to find out the hard way that he’s got no intention of sharing the spotlight, especially with someone like her. It’s going to be a tense fight, but with the station’s one rule being “make some noise,” Cam and Stella could be a winning combination – as long as they don’t knock each other out on their way to success. Guys With Kids:

“Guys with Kids” — From Emmy winner and executive producer Jimmy Fallon comes a new comedy about three thirty-something dads trying to hold on to their youth, while holding onto their new babies’ hands. Easy, right? Thankfully, Chris (Jesse Bradford, “The West Wing”), Nick (Zach Cregger, “Friends with Benefits”) and Gary (Anthony Anderson, “Law & Order”) have each other to help navigate their survival as new dads, while still trying desperately to remain dudes. Balancing work or staying at home, painfully married or happily divorced, they know that taking care of the little ones while maintaining a social life is a daily challenge. Whether it’s hosing the little squirt down in the kitchen sink or hitting the bar strapped with a baby björn, these guys are on a roller-coaster adventure – parenting like you (and they) have never seen before. Also starring are Jamie Lynn Sigler (“The Sopranos”) and Tempestt Bledsoe (“The Cosby Show”). Someone once said it is much easier to become a father than to be one. These three guys are about to find out just how true that is. “Guys with Kids” is produced by Universal Television and Holiday Road. Do No Harm:

“Do No Harm” — Dr. Jason Cole (Steven Pasquale, “Rescue Me”) is a highly respected neurosurgeon who has it all – a lucrative career, confident charm, the gift of compassion. But he also has a deep, dark secret. One morning when he wakes up disoriented in a wrecked hotel room amidst several near-naked women he’s never seen before, he knows one thing: it’s happening again. Every night at the same hour, something inside Jason changes, leaving him almost unrecognizable – seductive, devious, borderline sociopathic. This new man is his dangerous alternate personality who goes by the name of ‘Ian Price.’ For years he’s battled Ian, keeping him in check with a powerful experimental sedative. Go On:

“Go On” — Misery loves company. Unless you’re sportscaster Ryan King (Matthew Perry, “Friends,” “Mr. Sunshine”) who thinks misery should just be left alone. After taking some time off, Ryan – who recently lost his wife in a car accident – is now ready to get back to work. And while he seems like his same old charming, cocky self, his boss won’t set him back on the air until he seeks counseling. So, Ryan reluctantly joins a support group with one goal in mind: get in, get out and get back on the radio as quickly as possible. Played by the fast-talking, sarcastic, and charismatic Perry, Ryan gives grief a real run for its money. Within one day of group therapy, he hijacks the meeting and suddenly the downtrodden are cajoled into playing a game of “who’s got the best sob story?” And in no time all of them are battling it out, trying to one-up each other’s despair. Now, this is fun! Ryan’s total lack of interest in healing might be just what this group needs – and maybe, exactly what he needs to move on with his life. Also starring are Tony winner Laura Benanti (“The Playboy Club”), Julie White (“Transformers”), Suzy Nakamura (“Dodgeball”), Khary Payton (“General Hospital”) and Allison Miller (“Terra Nova”). From the Emmy-winning writer and executive producer Scott Silveri (“Perfect Couples,” “Friends”) comes a new series that proves grief can be good. Todd Holland (“Malcolm in the Middle”) and Karey Burke (“Free Agents,” “Miss/Guided”) also serve as executive producers. The pilot was directed by Holland. “Go On” is a production of Universal Television, Dark Toy Entertainment and Silver & Gold Productions.

Thanks to Collider, we have an update on the upcoming Pee Wee Herman movie straight from Pee Wee himself, Paul Reubens. The film is being produced by Judd Apatow, and when Reuben was asked about the status of it he had this to say:

It’s going great!  We have a meeting this coming week, and we just did a very quick little rewrite on it.  As far as I know, it’s getting shot very soon.  I actually wasn’t supposed to talk about it, initially.  I was talking about it in this very veiled, secretive way, saying, “Oh, I wish I could talk about it.”  A journalist figured out that it was Judd Apatow that I was talking about because my writing partner was in the audience and he’s written so much with Judd.  So, it got leaked about six months to a year before it was supposed to.  I’ve been warned not to talk about any of my new projects, but that I can talk about because I blew it and it’s out.  It’s even on IMDB now.  So, that’s supposedly any minute.  Right after that, I’m following that up with two incredibly exciting projects.  I would give anything to be able to just brag to you right now and drop some names, but I can’t.

So I guess we can expect something to happen soon! It sounds like Reubens is going to make a big comeback, which must be very exciting for him. I'm looking forward to seeing how this new Pee Wee movie turns out, as well as the other projects he has lined up. Reuben has recently worked on the new Disney animated series Tron: Uprising in which he voices a character named Pavel, General Tesler’s untrustworthy base commander.

How excited are you to see Pee Wee Herman back up on the big screen?

Here's an extended four-minute trailer and three new clips to a new series coming to NBC called Revolution. The show was created and produced by J.J. Abrams (Lost), written and produced by Eric Kripke (Supernatural), and the pilot episode was directed by none other than Jon Favreau (Iron Man). The show is an action drama that follows a group of people struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. It looks like the best new show NBC has going for it right now, and I'm looking forward to checking it out!

Here's the fficial synopsis:

Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman’s life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously – and unbeknownst to her – had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future.

Here's a Q & A session about the show with Favreau and THR:

THR: When doing something like Revolution, how is directing a pilot versus a movie?

Favreau: Pilots tend to have a longer time to film than an episode, but it’s certainly a lot less than a movie. But we had a really tight script and I was working with producers like Eric Kripke and JJ Abrams, who have been involved in TV a lot. JJ and I have been looking to work together in TV for a long time, so you just have to prepare a little more. The casting process is crazy, especially when you have a lot of unknowns, a lot of discoveries, and the Bad Robot shows, JJ’s shows, are all really cast-driven, so a lot of care went into finding the right people for the parts. So it really all worked out well, I’m very pleased with how well it all turned out.

THR: How much did JJ consult on a day-to-day basis?

Favreau: Well he was definitely very involved in developing the script with Eric, and then while we were filming, he was filming Star Trek, so we would shoot dailies to him, we would communicate using the same technology that he show eliminates. So we were very dependent upon technology. But he’s pretty tech-forward, and a lot of stuff is done online, so I would talk to my internet through the internet, I would talk to JJ through emails. He’s got a great company, I’ve been wanting to work there for a while, and he’s got a great time, so I felt very well looked after.

THR: What does this world look like? It’s post-apocalyptic, but it’s modern.

Favreau: Yeah, we wanted to make it actually hopeful, even though that doesn’t sound like it really fits with the dystopian world that post-apocalyptic stories are usually set against. But the feeling was that there was a whole younger generation that grew up without power and that when nature begins to reclaim what we’ve built, whether it’s cities, you see the city of Chicago 15 years after it’s been all but abandoned, you see that the plants start to grow back over things and there’s a lushness and a greenness, and the green shoots of new life that have come over society, so it’s kind of an interesting, different spin on it that was something, we had really did and planned for and discussed.

THR: How much involvement will you have with the show going forward?

Favreau: I’m going to be involved, I’m going to be a producer on the show and I’m going to be, as soon as I’m done out here, I’m going to go back and hit the writers room and Eric is going to be breaking stories for the new season with JJ and myself, and then hopefully either direct or be involved some way for future episodes.

THR: Were there any of JJ’s shows, like Lost, that you used as an inspiration?

Favreau: It definitely shares some DNA with Lost and the other Bad Robot shows, but I think when Eric came up with the idea for this, I think he was looking at things like Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, how to set a fantasy with swords and lo-tech societies butting [heads] and set it on an American backdrop. So even though America’s overgrown, it has a personality that you don’t see in those European-based shows.
