Simon Pegg is set to star in a sci-fi comedy adventure called Absolutely Anything, which comes from Monty Python founding member Terry Jones. Pegg will join John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin, and Robin Williams, who will be providing voices for characters in the film.
The story follows a disillusioned schoolteacher who suddenly finds he has magical powers, bestowed upon him by some aliens. Those aliens will be voiced by the Monty Python alums, while Williams will provide the voice of the abductee's funny and faithful dog. I believe Pegg will play the schoolteacher. The actor had this to say in a statement,
"As someone whose love of comedy was hugely informed by Monty Python, the chance to work with Terry [Jones] was a gift. Meeting your heroes is one thing, working with them is something else."
I grew up watching Monty Python, and it's going to be amazing watching them bring their comedic magic back to the big screen. Then to include Pegg in the project is just going to make that film so much more fun and entertaining. I'm excited about this!
