STAR TREK ONLINE Pays Tribute to Leonard Nimoy with In-Game Statues

In honor of the late Leonard Nimoy, the MMORPG Star Trek Online has erected two in-game statues in his memory. One of them is located on the planet Vulcan, and the other on New Romulus.

The actor proved voice work for the game as Spock and as the narrator that gives gamers a brief description of a new region of space that players enter for the first time. I included a video of Nimoy below doing the voice work for the game.

Cryptic Studios will also display black flags for the next week in the game's three main hub zones, Earth Space Dock, Qo'noS, and New Romulus. Permanent plaques will also be installed marking the passing of Nimoy and the other original series co-workers Majel Barrett, James Doohan, DeForest Kelley, and Gene Roddenberry.
