Steve Carell to Star in Gore Verbinski Directed Thriller
Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski will be teaming up with Steve Carrell for a paranoid thriller that has yet to be titled. The script will be written Steve Conrad, who also wrote The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and The Pursuit Of Happyness.
There are no details on what the story will entail, but it's definitely an interesting team-up of talent. Carell has shown a wide range of talent when it comes to acting, and it will be interesting to see what kind of role his plays in this paranoid thriller.
According to Variety, after Verbinski is finished with this project he will shoot two projects back-to-back for New Regency. One is a horror film called A Cure For Wellness, which was written by Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road) and an action-comedy that is tentatively Passengers that was also written by Conrad.
Carell will be seen next in the intense drama Foxcatcher.
