Steven Spielberg's Fantasy Drama LUMAN Coming to TNT

Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television has been developing a fantasy drama with Captain America: The First Avenger director Joe Johnston called Luman, and it just received a pilot order from TNT.

According to THR, the story is about "a famous author of a best-selling series of fantasy books who suddenly disappears and a family of four who are transported to the mystical alternate world that inspired her work. Once there, however, they are plunged into the middle of a war raging between rival magical forces of light and darkness. Facing peril at every turn, the family must unravel a complicated mystery and uncover some astonishing secrets as they struggle to find their way home."

Chris Black (Mad Men) has been hired to write the pilot, and he will produce the show alongside Spielberg and Johnson. I really like the concept of the series, and with the talent they've brought on to develop it, it should turn out to be really cool.

The art I used here is Final Fantasy art, but I thought it was a good fit for the post. It was created by Airi Yoshioka.
