THE CROW Remake Adds Andrea Riseborough as The Villainous Top Dollar

A remake of The Crow has been in the works for the better part of a decade now, with people like Bradley Cooper, Luke Evans, and Mark Wahlberg all attached at various points. The latest we've heard is that Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) will play the lead role for director Corin Hardy. And now it seems The Crow has found his villain: the mob boss Top Dollar, who was played by Michael Wincott in the 1994 movie, will reportedly be played by a woman this time around.

Deadline reports that Andrea Riseborough is in negotiations to play the baddie, who orders the death of Eric Draven (Huston) and his girlfriend (played by Jessica Brown Findlay) before Draven is resurrected and sets out on a quest for revenge. Riseborough is a fantastic actress, and you may know her from her small appearance in last year's Best Picture Oscar-winner Birdman. I thought she was the best part of Tom Cruise's Oblivion a few years ago, and her involvement definitely has me more intrigued with this film than I was previously.
