The Magic of Mary Poppins is Back in Full Trailer For Disney's MARY POPPINS RETURNS

Disney has released the full trailer for director Rob Marshall’s Mary Poppins Returns, and if you grew up enjoying the first movie, you’re going to love what you see here! The trailer is filled with all kinds of humor, drama, magic, and wonder as Mary Poppins comes back to once again help the Banks children who find themselves going through some difficult times. This looks like it’s going to be a wonderful sequel!

The film is set in 1930s depression-era London (the time period of the original novels) and is drawn from the wealth of material in PL Travers’ additional seven books. In the story, Michael (Ben Whishaw) and Jane (Emily Mortimer) are now grown up, with Michael, his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen (Julie Walters), living on Cherry Tree Lane. After Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) re-enters the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack (Lin-Manuel Miranda), uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a new assortment of colorful and whimsical characters, including her eccentric cousin, Topsy (Meryl Streep).

Emily Blunt is practically perfect for this role of Mary Poppins and I absolutely love everything that I’ve seen from her in this movie! She is also joined by Colin Firth, Angela Lansbury as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from the PL Travers books and Dick Van Dyke as Mr. Dawes, Jr., the retired chairman of the bank now run by Firth’s character.

Mary Poppins Returns is slated for release December 25, 2018.

See Mary Poppins Returns in theatres December 19! In Disney's "Mary Poppins Returns," an all new original musical and sequel, Mary Poppins is back to help the next generation of the Banks family find the joy and wonder missing in their lives following a personal loss.
