THOR: RAGNAROK Set Photos Feature Thor, Loki, and Tease a Possible Unexpected Cameo

Over the weekend some photos from the set of Thor: Ragnarok surfaced online featuring Thor and Loki walking around the streets of New York City. As you will see, they aren't wearing their Asgardian threads.

So what are these two characters doing in New York City? Well first, director Taika Waititi posted the following image and caption as a joke:

That was then followed by a retweet of some set photos, and one of those photos revealed something very interesting. This one actually may have really contained a spoiler! There's a reference to another superhero in the Marvel universe, and there's a chance that the character could appear Thor: Ragnarok.

Here are the photos:

In one of those photos, Thor is holding a business card. That card reads, "177A Bleecker Street." If you are familiar with the comics, you'll know that is the address of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum in Greenwich Village, New York. So it seems as if Loki and Thor are in New York looking for Doctor Strange for some help!

That's just speculation on my part, but I don't know any other reason why Thor would be in New York with a card leading him to the Sorcerer Supreme. It seems to me like there's a very good chance that Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Strange in the film, unless Thor and Loki knock on his door to find that he's not home.

There's also the chance that this address is simply a slight nod to Doctor Strange, and the address on the card is as far as it goes. We'll just have to wait and see. I hope Strange pops up in the film, though! That would be awesome!

Thor: Ragnarok is currently shooting in Brisbane, Queensland, and the set they are shooting on in these photos is doubling for New York City. The movie is set to be released in theaters on November 3, 2017!
