Tina Fey and Margot Robbie Cover Afghanistan in WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT Trailer

I was under the impression that the new war comedy Whisky Tango Foxtrot was going to be a star vehicle for Tina Fey and Martin Freeman, but if this first trailer is any indication, it looks like Margot Robbie actually has a bigger role than Freeman does. I didn't even know she was going to be in the film at all, so that's a pleasant surprise.

In an adaptation of journalist Kim Barker's The Taliban Shuffle, Fey plays a writer who upends her boring New York life in order to cover what the conflicts in Afghanistan and Pakistan in the early 2000s. There does appear to be a bit of a relationship story on display between Fey and Martin Freeman's characters, and I'm wondering if Paramount's marketing team is just trying to play up the Margot Robbie character here in an effort to entice the coveted young male demographic. In other words, I wouldn't be surprised if she's not in the movie as much as this trailer leads us to believe. Either way, though, it looks like it's going to be worth checking out. Fey is always great, and even Billy Bob Thornton looks like he's having some fun here. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (WTF, get it?) arrives in theaters on March 4th, 2016.
