Top 5 Arrested Development Running Gags

"His name is Judge."

Warning: The Following post contains spoilers throughout the series and for those reasons it has been deemed For British Eyes Only. Enjoy.

Fans of the show understand, newcomers get it eventually, but in the end everyone thinks the same thing. Arrested Development is definitely one of the funniest shows to have ever been on television, and if you don't think so...well you'd probably be the other 90% of the population who didn't watch the show while it was on FOX because Simon Cowell wasn't involved.

With the promise of a new season (something long time fans of the show are used to hearing about) and the movie in the works (I wanna say in it's 5th year in development?) if you haven't seen the show, you really need to.

That being said the following is a countdown to some of the best running jokes on the show. Obviously everyone has their own opinion and there are so many that I left out that I wanted to add...so post your favorite moments in the comments...chicken. CAH KUH CAH KUH CAH KUH!

5. Buster's Hand

I tried five different ways of explaining this scenario...but really the situation is far too complicated to explain. Let's just leave it at Buster Bluth got his hand bitten off by a loose Seal with a yellow bow-tie...like I said, fans of the series will remember instantly all the jokes that accompany that single scene, others will wonder what the hell is going on...regardless the hilarity that ensued after "Baby Buster" lost his hand was priceless, because after all, HE'S A MONSTER!!!!!

4. Tobiasisms

Tobias Funke: father, psychologist, aspiring actor, former student to Carl Weathers, and part time stand in for the Blue Man Group. Tobias offers sound advice to the family the only way he knows how...slightly suggestive and homo-erotic.

3. The Chicken Dance

The Bluth's may have been embezzlers, funders of terrorism, and self absorbed upper-class socialites on their way out of the high life...but they also had no idea what a chicken sounded like either.

2. "COME ON!"

One of the most famous catch phrases from the show, and something I implement into my everyday conversation. While everyone in the family had their "COME ON!" moments, the most frequent culprit of the phrase was older brother/failed magician/one time CEO puppet for the company Gob Bluth. When Gob wasn't sleeping around on his Spanish tella novella star girlfriend or wowing crowds with Europe's "The Final Countdown" playing as his theme, Gob was often heard saying this...

And my personal favorite...

1. Franklin

In addition to his other achievements, Gob also had a brief stint as a ventriloquist. Franklin, the sometimes outspoken African American puppet, helped teach us about equality in a brave new world (in song even)...and also saved Gob himself from a few well deserved race driven ass kickings.

AND THATS WHY YOU ALWAYS LEAVE A NOTE.
