Trailer for Melissa McCarthy's New Comedy TAMMY
Warner Bros. has released the first trailer Melissa McCarthy's new comedy Tammy. McCarthy co-wrote the film with her husband, Ben Falcone, who also directed the film. The trailer shows her character robbing a fast food place while wearing a paper bag disguise. What helps the trailer pop a little more is the fact that it's cut to Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise." The movie also stars Susan Sarandon, Allison Janney, Gary Cole, Mark Duplass, Toni Collette, Nat Faxon, Dan Aykroyd, and Kathy Bates. It looks like it could be an entertaining film. That McCarthy can be pretty damn funny.
Tammy (McCarthy) is having a bad day. She's totaled her clunker car, gotten fired from her thankless job at a greasy burger joint, and instead of finding comfort at home, finds her husband getting comfortable with the neighbor in her own house.
It's time to take her boom box and book it. The bad news is she's broke and without wheels. The worse news is her grandma, Pearl (Sarandon), is her only option—with a car, cash, and an itch to see Niagara Falls. Not exactly the escape Tammy had in mind. But on the road, with grandma riding shot gun, it may be just what Tammy needs.
Tammy will be released in theaters on July 2nd, 2014. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are producing.
