Updated STAR WARS Timeline Infographic Includes TV, Books, and Films
Ever since Lucasfilm wiped away the entire Star Wars Expanded Universe and declared that a new story group would be responsible for all creative development in all Star Wars content moving forward (redefining longform storytelling in the process), fans have been wondering about the new expanded universe that will be established with upcoming Star Wars projects. (If you're confused, this video should explain things.) Obviously we have the movies on the way, and Lucasfilm announced that at least 20 books will be released this year, but where will all of that fit in the overall chronology of the franchise? Thankfully, a new infographic (first spotted by Jedi Bibliothek) is here to lay it all out for us.
Screencrush also has some detailed descriptions of a few of the upcoming books, which I've included below. But there are three previously-announced books that aren't on this infographic: Smuggler's Run and The Weapon of the Jedi take place between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, while Moving Target will be set between Empire and Return of the Jedi. So basically you can expect an even more updated infographic (that includes the comics as well) to pop up soon. For now, though, this will have to do.
