VFX Reel For Cartel Action Thriller SICARIO

I'm a big fan of Denis Villeneuve's Sicario, the cartel action thriller starring Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, and Josh Brolin. I think it's one of the best movies of the year, and the more I think about the movie, the more I like it. A sequel is already in the works at Lionsgate that's supposed to center on Del Toro's character, but before that happens, I'd recommend taking a quick look at this newly-released VFX reel from Oblique FX. They did the visual effects work for Sicario, and unlike reels for FX-heavy properties like Game of Thrones, this one concentrates on the little changes that most viewers wouldn't even think about. With no giant dragons or insane kingdoms to create, the effects work here is much more subtle and it's a good example of the types of little things filmmakers can do to heighten the realism of a movie.

Beware: there are some major SPOILERS in this video, so if you haven't seen the movie yet, go out and watch that first before checking this out.
