Wasp Confirmed To See Some Action in ANT-MAN

Some new information has come to light that reveals that Wasp is going to see some action in Marvel's Ant-Man. There's been a lot of speculation regarding whether or not we will actually see her in the movie. According to CinemaBlend, who talked to Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige on the set of the film, we will. They say: "We can confirm that Wasp will in fact have a role to play in the upcoming Peyton Reed-directed blockbuster."

When asked if we would be getting to see the superheroine in action in the film, "Feige explained not only that we do, but that the storyline has an important effect on the dynamic between the aged Dr. Hank Pym (played by Michael Douglas) and his daughter, Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly)." Feige went on to say:

It factors in in a number of spoilerish ways, but we will see Janet Van Dyne in action in this film, and part of sort of what happened to her - and then we will understand why that is the reason that [Hank] doesn’t want his daughter to follow in those footsteps.

Feige obviously wouldn't go into any crazy details because he doesn't want to spoil it for us, but he did say this:

"Another very logical question in the movie is ‘Why are you hiring this ex-con to put on your suit and do this?’ The answer is because he has abilities in cracking security networks and in pulling off heists that nobody else has, which is really why he has to do it, but Hope is infinitely more capable of actually being a superhero in the beginning of this film, and we learn sort of, that’s ultimately when Hank reveals for the first time, to the audience and even the first time to Hope, what actually happened in the past, and why he’s so nervous about putting on that suit."

The report goes on to point out that we don’t actually get to see Janet Van Dyne’s face because it is hidden behind a helmet that is part of the outfit that she wears. This is a very interesting bit of intel, that was followed by this, "her presence and existence will have a large effect throughout the film, as she is basically the reason why Hank Pym wants Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang to become Ant-Man instead of his very capable daughter."

I'm now going to go into some SPOILER-filled speculation regarding this information:

I'm wondering if at some point in the film she is the one that will be wearing the Yellowjacket suit or another version of it, and that she and Ant-Man will have an all-out fight scene either against each other, or maybe they team up to fight against Hank Pym, who is rumored to end up being another villain in the story. Why would they want to hide her face behind a helmet if something like this wasn't the case?

Maybe I am completely wrong on all counts, but there's obviously going to be some kind of big surprise involving her by the end of the movie. Do you have any ideas of what Marvel might be planning for her? Do you think Evangeline Lilly's character will eventually take on the Wasp persona? I'm intrigued by what could happen!
