WATCHMEN Star Malin Akerman to Play the Villain in Dwayne Johnson's RAMPAGE

Watchmen and Billions star Malin Akerman is going to join Dwayne Johnson's big-screen adaptation of the classic 1980s video game franchise Rampage. According to THR, she will be taking on the role of the main villain. The character is described as "a calculating head of a tech company that is behind the monsters."

Akerman is the last piece in the casting puzzle, and she joins the previously announced cast that includes Naomie Harris, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacy, P.J. Byrne, Jack Quaid, Matt Gerald, and Breanne Hill.

Brad Peyton (San Andreas) is directing the film, which will center on three people who are transformed into giant monsters that include a gorilla, a wolf, and a Godzilla-like lizard. Together they will wreak havoc on North American cities and landmarks. Only one man can stop them, and that man is an animal-loving hero played by Johnson.

Rampage is one of those games that I played all the time back in the day at the arcade. I always found it amusing that you could eat people. I'm sure it will at least end up being an entertaining and fun movie.
