Woody Harrelson Could Be Playing Han Solo's Mentor in the STAR WARS Standalone Film
Woody Harrelson joining a Star Wars movie?! That's something I didn't see coming at all, but according to Variety, he's in early talks with Lucasfilm about possibly joining the standalone Han Solo movie!
The report says that he's the top choice to play Han Solo's mentor, so we'll get to meet the man who helped teach Solo everything he knows about the smuggling business... That's pretty cool! It seems like a role that Harrelson could fit right into.
If Harrelson ends up being cast in the film, he will join Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, and Emilia Clarke. Phil Lord and Chris Miller are directing the film, and I couldn't be more excited to see what they do with it and how all these actors bring their characters to life.
One of the producers on the film is Allison Shearmur, who also worked on The Hunger Games films, so it seems like she's eager to work with Harrelson again. Production on the Han Solo film is expected to start later this month, and it's set for release on May 25, 2018.
