10 Sets of Movies That Are Part of the "Twin Films" Phenomenon
It's not surprising to learn that stories told in films have been recycled in other movies over the years. It's something we've all noticed. Screen Rant has released a new video list which is called "10 Movies That Stole Their Stories From Other Films." The list consists of what is known as Twin Films phenomenon. These are movies that have the same or very similar plots and are released at the same time by two different studios.
Some of the movies included in the list are Antz and A Bug’s Life, Deep Impact and Armageddon, The Prestige and The Illusionist, Dante’s Peak and Volcano, and more. Hollywood is a crazy place where crazy things like this happen.
After years of several stories on film, it’s hard to find a narrative that’s 100 percent original. Everything seems to take inspiration from something that’s come before.
