2 New Photos Surface From FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD Featuring a Young Newt Scamander
A couple new photos have emerged for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald. The first one above features a young Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) doing a little wizard training with Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law). The second image shows Newt pointing his wand at something off camera in the midst of dealing with his luggage. Take a look:
Sure, it's not the sexiest picture to convince people the Fantastic Beasts franchise is worth showing up for again, but I have hopes. Really I'm hoping that Grindelwald, Dumbledore, and a few new locations will be enough to keep me entertained during this film because the first one was a bit of a snooze-fest for me. I imagine we'll get a new trailer for the film at comic-con next week.
At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald releases November 16th.
