2 TV Spots for Neill Blomkamp's Sci-Fi Robot Film CHAPPIE
Sony Pictures has released two new TV spots for Neill Blomkamp’s Chappie. They premiered last night during the midseason premiere of The Walking Dead. The futuristic sci-fi film centers around an intelligent robot named Chappie, the first robot with the ability to think and feel for itself. This movie looks awesome, and I hope that it does a lot better for Blomkamp than his last film, Elysium.
The film stars Sharlto Copley (District 9), Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire), South African rappers Ninja and ¥o-Landi Vi$$er, Jose Pablo Cantillo, Sigourney Weaver, and Hugh Jackman as the villain.
Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings – some good, some bad – and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there’s one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself.
