What Movies Came out this Weekend? Oct. 17th
Whats up everyone! It another big week in movies. Tons of films to pick and choose from. My top pick of the week is a little film called Sex Drive. But since I have already seen it, my next pick is Max Payne as is most of yours I am sure. But don't underestimate 'Sex Drive' you'll really like it. Check out the selection below and make your decision!
Max Payne

Maverick cop Max Payne (Wahlberg) is hell-bent on revenge against those responsible for the brutal murder of his family and partner. His obsessive investigation takes him on a nightmarish journey into a dark underworld. As the mystery deepens, Max is forced to battle enemies beyond the natural world and face an unthinkable betrayal.
Of course I'm going to go see it. Aren't you? I'm just mad that they went with a PG-13 rating.
Sex Drive
Cast: Josh Zuckerman, Amanda Crew, Clark Duke
Sex Drive is a great comedy! I have seen it and I loved it. I highly recomend this one. You can read my review for it HERE.

Whether you love him or hate him, there is no question that George W. Bush is one of the most controversial public figures in recent memory. In an unprecedented undertaking, acclaimed director Oliver Stone is bringing the life of our 43rd President to the big screen as only he can. W. takes viewers through Bush’s eventful life -- his struggles and triumphs, how he found both his wife and his faith, and of course the critical days leading up to his decision to invade Iraq.
This is a movie I am very interestied in watching. I will be watching this movie for sure this next week.
The Secret Lives of Bees
Cast: Queen Latifah, Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Hudson
Set in South Carolina in 1964, the film is the moving tale of Lily Owens (Fanning) a 14 year-old girl who is haunted by the memory of her late mother (Burton). To escape her lonely life and troubled relationship with her father (Bettany), Lily flees with Rosaleen (Hudson), her caregiver and only friend, to a South Carolina town that holds the secret to her mother's past. Taken in by the intelligent and independent Boatwright sisters (Latifah, Okonedo and Keys), Lily finds solace in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping, honey and the Black Madonna.
I have no interest in seeing this movie.
What Just Happened
Cast: Robert De Niro, Catherine Keener, Sean Penn
What Just Happened which some some additional for the satirical comedy about two nail-biting, back-stabbing, roller-coaster weeks in the life of Ben (Academy Award® winner Robert De Niro; Meet The Parents, Heat) a middle aged Hollywood producer trying to juggle his work and private life in tinsel town.
Ben is already in over his head trying to balance the tug-of-war of having two ex-wives and two different families with his latest business venture – the boldly “visionary” movie Fiercely starring Sean Penn (played by himself; 21 Grams, Mystic River) when everything that can go wrong, does go wrong.
This was a very good movie that any hard core film buff should see. I had a chance to see it and I really enjoyed. You can read my review for it HERE.

This documentary actually looks pretty interesting at the same time it is something I would watch on the Discovery Channel not in the movie theater.

Another limited release film that I may never end up seeing.
Tru Loved
Sixteen-year-old Tru is uprooted by her lesbian moms from her comfortable gay-friendly home in San Francisco and moved to a conservative, suburban community in Southern California.
Tru's only friend is a closeted football player, and even that friendship is jeopardized when she starts the school's first Gay-Straight Alliance.

Yeah umm... Not really. It will be limited release anyway.
Filth and Wisdom
Madonna's directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom, is a hilariously sexy tale of three roommates who must delve into mischievous and naughty behavior in pursuit of bigger and brighter futures. A Ukrainian immigrant, A.K. (Eugene Hutz), finances his dreams of ‘trans-continental superstardom' with his band, Gogol Bordello, by turning tricks as a role-playing cross dresser. As A.K. literally whips the privileged of London into shape, he also secretly pines for the object of his affection, Holly (Holly Weston), an aspiring ballerina looking for her big break while moonlighting as a slippery stripper. Meanwhile, Juliette (Vicky Mclure) steals medicine from her pharmaceutical job in hopes of quenching her dreams of helping Africa's youth.
