Dexter Gets picked up for a 4th and 5th Season

by Joey Paur

Dexter is one of my favorite shows on TV. I was really hoping that it would get picked up for another season. I guess I don't have to hope anymore because Showtime has picked it up for another two seasons! If you have seen the show then you know why this is great news. If you have not seen it, then you need to catch up because your missing a out on one of the best shows on TV. It is very much on the dark side of TV so the show is not for everyone. If you can handle it you can handle anything. Variety reports:

Skein stars Michael C. Hall as a Miami blood splatter expert who moonlights as a serial killer. Its Sept. 28 season premiere drew 1.2 million viewers, a 20% uptick over its season-two bow. Counting encore runs and other viewing, "Dexter" -- Showtime's highest-rated show last year -- garnered an aud of more than 3 million for its third-season premiere week.

It will be great to see where they end up taking the show. I hope that when the show does end they will be able to wrap up the story of Dexter. Very cool news! This season has been incredible so far. Season 4 goes into production in spring of 2009.
