No Crane Kick in the Karate Kid remake!?

by Joey Paur

As you know Will Smiths son Jaden Smith has signed on to play the lead role in a new Karate Kid movie based on the classic 1980's film.  As far as I am concerned the original movie was perfect, and there is no point to make a new one. To make things worse we got news today that young Jaden wants to have nothing to do with the famous Carne Kick. He wants to base his fighting style off of what he sees in the video games he plays on his XBOX. Joblo.com reports:

We got Will talking on the KARATE KID remake the other day and he said he's "begging" Jaden to include the crane kick in KARATE KID even though Jaden wants no part of it. Will says that he plays fighting video games and wants to model some of his moves off what he sees coming out of his Xbox. While that's truly a frightening thought, remember that Will is actually producing the film and may have to lay the smack down. You just cannot have a KARATE KID remake with out the crane kick. And some wiseass kid screaming "get him a body bag, YEAHHHH!!"

I agree 100%, Will needs to lay down the law on this one. He is the producer of the movie! Whats Jaden going to do if he doesn't get his way? Throw a temper tantrum and walk off the movie? In the end, no matter what they do with this movie it's not going to be the same as the original, so what are we going to do? See it and complain how bad it was compared to the first one.
