Jurassic Park 4 has become Extinct

by Joey Paur

I was all pumped up for a 4th Jurassic Park movie, but it is no longer happening. When asked about the how the development for the film is coming along Kathleen Kennedy responded:

"No... I don't know. You know, when Crichton passed away, I sorta felt maybe that's it. Maybe that's a sign that we don't mess with it."

So does that mean now that Michael Crichton has passed we can no longer make movies based on his amazing books? Since when did Hollywood stop making movies because the creator of a story passed away? Wouldn't you feel inclined to dedicate a fourth Jurassic Park movie to honor his memory? If they don't want to make the movie then just say so! Don't use the death of a person as an excuse, thats just lame and tacky.
