by Joey Paur

I am sorry to report that Sydney Pollack has died. Monday 26th 2008.

Sydney Pollack was a great and well known filmmaker and directed films such as 'Jeremiah Johnson,' 'The Way We Were,' 'Three Days of the Condor,' 'Castle Keep,' 'They Shoot Horses, Don't They?' 'The Electric Horseman,' 'Absence of Malice,' 'Out of Africa,' and 'Tootsie,' among many others, passed away Monday at his home in Pacific Palisades.

He was 73.

Pollack was a great and talented actor as well, appearing in films like 'Tootsie,' 'Michael Clayton,' 'The Sopranos,' 'A Civil Action,' Robert Zemeckis' 'Death Becomes Her,' Woody Allen's 'Husbands and Wives,' and Stanley Kubrick's 'Eyes Wide Shut.'

Its a sad day when a good filmmaker passes on. We give our best to his family and friends.
