Daniel Day Lewis in a musical?!

Just searching some of my favorite actors on IMDB.com and I found this info. IMDB still has this listed as a rumor, but upon a conversation with the great Dr. Venkman it turns out that the rumor is true.  DDL, to me, is one of the rare talents that you come upon in modern day acting.  I would see any movie that he is in no matter the subject matter.   

The movie that he is called "Nine".  It is being directed by Rob Marshall, who also directed the academy award winning "Chicago", and "Memoirs of a Geisha".  Here is a little synopsis of the movie courtesy of IMDB.

"Nine is a musical following a film director named Guido Contini, who is in his middle age. He is trying to complete his next film. His main problem is that he has too many women in his life. Luisa, his wife, Carla his sexy mistress, and Claudia, his muse and protege."

Daniel Day Lewis is to play Guido Contini.  The movie also stars Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Sophia Loren, and Dame Judi Dench.  Based on the cast alone, I can see this being an award-winning movie.  I am going to keep looking for more info on this movie, and I will keep you posted as to what I find.  But until then, let me know what you think.
