'My Name is Bruce' finally gets a release date!

Before Sam Raimi even thought about doing a Spiderman movie, he was directing three of my favorite movies.  Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness.  I can watch these movies all the time.  The cheesey effects, the excellent story lines, there are very few movies that can compare.  I always wished that good ole' Sam would give us another one.  Well, Sam isn't continuing the story, but the next best person is.  Bruce Campbell is taking the helm of the latest installment of the Ash Williams saga. 

This film will be a little different then the first three films, because Bruce Campbell will be playing Bruce Campbell in this film.  Here is the synopsis that you would find on IMDB:

This plot revolves around Bruce Campbell, who is playing himself throughout the piece being mistaken by fans for Ashley J. Williams. Due to this mistake he is dragged from his trailer park home to battle the avatar of the Chinese war diety Guan Di.

I am way excited to know that this movie is going to hit the big screen.  For a while there I thought that I would have to look for it at the video store in order to see it.  But as luck would have it, the film will be released on the big screen in October of this year.  If you don't know anything about the Evil Dead trilogy, then I would suggest that you rent them and watch the goodness.  Until next time, let me know what you think.
