Cameron Crowe at again, this time with Stiller and Witherspoon!

by Joey Paur

I am a big fan of Cameron Crowe. I just love watching his movies. He is a extremely talented writer and director. He is also a really nice guy, I have had the opportunity to meet him a couple of times. 'Almost Famous' and 'Jerry Maguire' are amazing films. I don't know what happened with 'Elizabethtown', for me I just thought the casting of the 2 main characters was a bad choice. Orlando bloom was terrible in that movie. But I am excited to tell you Cameron Crowe is working a untitled romantic comedy adventure that will star Ben Stiller and Reese Witherspoon! There are no details on what it is about yet. Crowe is the romantic comedy master though and it should be good with a cast like that. Here are what the trades are saying:

Columbia was the winning bidder, beating out four rival studios, in landing the fully developed project, which is being produced by Scott Rudin. Crowe, who wrote the screenplay, is also producing.

Studio is keeping the logline of the contemporary-set project under wraps.

Project reunites Crowe with Columbia for the first time since the helmer's "Almost Famous" in 2000. Crowe and studio topper Amy Pascal have a long-standing relationship that dates back to the filmmaker's 1989 "Say Anything," when Pascal was an executive at 20th Century Fox. Crowe made "Jerry Maguire" -- his biggest box office success -- for Columbia and Pascal.

I can't wait to see what kind of story he is going to bring us this time.
