Artist Spotlight: Kevin Dart
Venkman here - One of the things we wanted to do here at Geek Tyrant is a artist spotlight on different artists and different styles that we think are awesome. I am not an art critic by any means I just know like and I like what I see. So this is the first of these Artist Spotlights.
I first ran into the Kevin Dart's Art at Comic-Con a couple years ago at a booth he had set up. I briefly met the man and he seems like a really nice guy. I have followed his art ever since. Kevin has got a great imagination, and a creative talent for bringing it to life. I love the retro style that he is best known for. I have posted a few of his recent prints below I love this stuff! I would love to see some of these ideas turn into a very stylized animated movie. The ideas are just very fun and playful. You definitely have to go to his website and check it out RIGHT HERE. Kevin has an amazing talent. It looks like he will also be back at Comic-Con this year so if you get a chance if your there make sure to seek him out and see his stuff!
This next one is one of my favorite pieces by Kevin Dart. I am a huge fan of Sergio Leone's spaghetti westerns and Clint Eastwood, and it reminds me of that. I also like the simplicity of it.
