First Look At Disney/Pixars "UP"

by Billy Fisher
Well fellow surfers, McMurphy is back to keep your heads ringing.

It has been hard to post anything lately because my wife just had our first baby.  I think I totally underestimated the full mind control powers that a new-born has.  Thankfully her tiny grip on my brain has been loosened and I can function again.

As many of you know The Doc, The Maze, The Dude and I were able to go to Comic-Con and unleash the full power of the GeekTyrant on unsuspecting victims.  By the way thank you to all that we met and are going to wear their GeekTyrant t-shirts for rest of their lives.  We really appreciate it.  All right, back to my point.

I am a fan of the Disney/Pixar genre of movies.  That's right I said it, genre.  They are really in a league of their own, and I don't mean a quirky baseball movie that stars Gina Davis and Tom Hanks.  They have no real competition as far  box office smashing animated movies.   Dreamworks does have some really good ones every once and a while.  But the consistency of the D/P connections just blows everyone else out of the water.

There are two upcoming D/P films coming out in the next year.  The first is going to be Bolt, which is coming out around Thanksgiving time, which I have written about before (The trailer will be added to this post).  The next will be a film named UP, this will be coming out May 29th 2009.  Here is the synopsis that is given on IMDB:

In this "coming of old age" story, a seventysomething hero, alongside his clueless wilderness ranger sidekick, travels the globe, fighting beasts and villains, and eating dinner at 3:30 in the afternoon.

It sounds like it will be a good family movie.  Not too much information has been released on the web, but as updates are given, I will let you know.  Until then, enjoy the teaser that I have provided for you, and let me know what you think.
