That Awesome guy Jason Statham Talks about his next Movie 'The Grabbers'

No matter what movie this guy is in weather its good or bad you know its going to be fun. He is just a fun actor to watch on screen. He currently has 'Death Race' out in theaters now which was very cool. Next up is 'Transporter 3' and 'Crank 2', both of which look like are going to be one sweet ass ride. Empire online recently caught up with Jason and asked him what film he has got lined up next and here is his answer:

“We’ve got a movie we’re trying to do, written by David and Janet Peoples, in the vein of an old film, The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre,”

The original movie is stars Humphry Bogart and Walter Hustan. They play gold diggers who become contaminated with greed. Also the writers of the script have written some great films such as 'Twelve Monkeys', 'Blade Runner', and 'Unforgiven'. This means this next Jason Statham Movie will be the best written film he has been in and that is something to look Forward to! Statham goes on to say:

“It’s not a remake or anything, but it’s a little bit like that – about relationships and how greed contaminates the relationships these three people have. The working title is The Grabbers.”

Its not a remake it's a re-invention. The Grabbers is not a done deal yet, they are still working on getting the financing. I really hope this happens. This film could be his big break as an actor. The guy is known for his amazingly awesome action flicks, this would be a different type of character than we are use to seeing him play.
