Update on Mark Millers 'Superman' Movie Pitch
Mark Miller recently talked to G4TV regarding his new comic book 'War Heroes'. During the interview he talked about His idea for a new 'Superman' movie that he has pitched to Warner bros.
"I've had this plan for like 10 years for a big three-picture Superman thing, like a Lord of the Rings epic, starting over from scratch again with a seven-hour Superman story. One to be released each year." Millar said.
I love the idea of a 3 pictures epic Superman series though. Warner Bros. has not come out and greenlit this project yet. Who knows if it even will go through. He is hoping that they will start shooting the film next summer! There is an American director attached to the project but we don't know who it is.
“A director approached me about three months ago,” Millar said. “and he said ‘look, [Bryan Singer's] The Man Of Steel might not be happening. If that doesn’t happen, it has been spoken about the possibility of me coming in, would you like to write it?’ And I was like Yeah.”
I wish he talked about more of the story line, but he ended up talking about buying a stuffed dead cat from the first Superman film. It a fun little interview cheak it out below.
